Basics of Happiness
So, what are the basics of happiness? Following are ten basic things really required for you to truly start being happy, healthy and fit in your life:
1) Begin Your Day On A Positive Note
Start the day on a positive note and you will be happy that the entire day will be a positive one. The positive mind set at the start of the day will play a big role in how the whole day will unfold and how the individual will cope with the events of the day.
Don’t press the snooze button of your alarm. Wake up cheerfully with enthusiasm at the pre-set time. Firstly thank your loving God for the gift of life being still alive, and for giving you a new day. Pray with faith that the new day is bringing you and your family blessings of happiness, health, fitness and wealth. Filling your mind with cheerful thoughts of love, peace, joy, abundance and happiness, proceed to complete your personal cleaning. Having a shower (I love cold water) is an energy booster.
2) Envision
By closing your eyes, you can spend some time envisioning what it takes to make you happy. Focusing on an outcome that you desire is a great way to start your day off well. It can also be a wonderful way to drift off to sleep at night. When you envision what you really want, you can help to make it happen.
3) Be in Control
Your body is composed of hundred trillion cells, all of which are answerable to you and you alone. You are the commander of these cells and they are working constantly not for the benefit of other people, but only for your own benefit. For these cells, you are the only person that exists. To start on your journey to happiness, you first need is to be in control of these cells, take possession and be responsible for these cells for in so doing; you also become the master of both your mind and body – making you healthy and happy. You can take control of your body cells by similar to the following positive affirmations:
“I am becoming healthy, fit, strong, muscular, powerful, energetic, sexy, young and abundantly HAPPY.
Say this affirmation daily preferably in front of the mirror after brushing your teeth (perhaps for men after brushing and also shaving), and see your physical and mental improvement within a short period of 3 to 4 weeks!
4) Be Yourself
Remember the basic rule to be happy is that your fundamental nature should be soft, vibrant, full of enthusiasm, energy and love. You must know that you are exceptional and unique. So you must never compare yourself with other people.
If there is something about you that you do not like, never put the blame on your parents or other people, and most importantly, on yourself. What you need to do is acknowledge the existence of the particular problem and accept it as it is.
5) Accept Your Mistakes
When you accept that mistakes are part of life and start to gain guidance from the mistakes you can become empowered and be innovative, creative, and attract success and wealth. Being perfectly imperfect is the need of the hour in getting wealthy and when you do this right, you are sure to succeed in reaching your wealth goal.
Whatever your current situation may be, accept it as perfectly OK. Instead of lamenting over your past mistakes or what you should not have done, concentrate on your present situation, think and plan well on how you can improve, focus on your goal with burning desire and belief and do your best NOW!
6) Empty & Refill Yourself
If you really wish to be happy, you need to free your mind and body from all negativities. Be aware of your destination of happiness and imagine yourself getting there. Relax. If things are bound to come, they will come, only if you want them to.
7) Fill Yourself With Positivity!
When you have emptied all your negative thoughts and the past emotional garbage, now it is time for you to refill yourself with as much positive energy that includes positive feelings of love, hope, kindness, compassion, gratitude and desires of happiness and best of abundance. Affirm your mind with motivating positive thoughts and believe in yourself. As you do so, you can finally tell yourself that happiness is right within your reach.
8) Develop Good Positive Habits
Good habits are the cornerstone of self-discipline leading to abundance, happiness, health and wealth. This is why it’s important to identify good habits that will help you reach your goals. Building habits take time and you’d have to build one at a time for best results. Don’t try to go picking up habits left and right. Instead, have patience and try to develop one at a time so you don’t get overwhelmed.
Another simple practice you can try is ‘habit stacking’ (after you do habit 1, then do habit 2, and so on). So for example, it’s been your habit for years to go to bed early every night but you hate waking up early in the morning. What you can do is, you can try to develop a new habit of waking up early each morning. Then when you perfect this habit, you can try adding more positive habits to your morning such as exercising, meditating or planning your activities and tasks for the day.
When you develop a strong system of good and positive habits, you’ll soon see that the bad habits won’t have any more room in your life. Good riddance, I’d say!
9) Look for the Good Always
Always look for the good in every situation – there is always something to be happy about! When you look at things from such a point of view, you will be mentally empowered. You will know that regardless of what life tosses your direction, you are going to be able to overcome it. When you look at life from such a prospective, you will also appreciate the good things when they do happen in your life.
10) Enjoy Every Moment of Your Life
To be alive – the gift of life – is a blessing indeed. So enjoy every moment of your life doing what you love most that results in furthering your happiness. Realizing the value of time, utilize every precious moment to grow love, peace, joy, happiness, health, fitness and wealth to you and your family.
